Firnas Shuman is a renewable energy consulting and technical services firm. We provide our 
services worldwide, focusing on Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Each request that 
comes to us from clients is unique and the success of turning these requests into awarded 
projects depends on the quality of the proposals we submit. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installation, check, and maintenance of computer hardware
  • Install, configure, and manage software and its functions according to specifications
  • Daily technical support for all users
  • Develop and maintain local networks
  • Domain controller’s configuration and administration
  • Storages’ configuration and administration
  • Update knowledge and skills to keep up with rapid advancements in computer technology.
  • Assembles installs, and configures systems and equipment in accordance with site assessments and schematics.
  • Completes system programming and optimization as part of the installation process.
  • Performs routine system maintenance and analysis functions, including hardware configurations and adding, removing, and replacing equipment components.
  • By recording and analyzing test data, test and verify hardware and support peripherals to ensure they meet specifications and requirements.
  • Monitor equipment functioning and make necessary modifications to ensure the system operates in conformance with specifications.
  • Analyze user needs and recommend appropriate hardware and software
  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
  • Assist in and plan training, development, and education for new software and hardware
  • Troubleshoot to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory
  • Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders when necessary


Basic Requirements

We expect that a successful candidate will:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • Previous working experience as an IT support for a minimum (2) years.
  • Good experience in Python programming language.
  • Problem solver and attention to details.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
  • Hands-on experience with diverse computer systems and networks
  • In-depth knowledge of Internet security and data privacy principles
  • Good experience in disaster recovery planning.


Nice to have

  • Familiar with Zoho one and Zoho Creator
  • Good experience in domain controller’s configuration and administration (Active directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, …)
  • Good experience in configuring VPNs.
  • Good experience in configuring and administrating storages.
