Firnas Shuman is a renewable energy consulting and technical services firm. We provide our services worldwide, focusing on Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Each request that comes to us from clients is unique and the success of turning these requests into awarded projects depends on the quality of the proposals we submit.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Interface with current and potential clients.
- Work with clients to define the scope of work for consultancy services.
- Prepare technical and financial proposals for consulting tenders.
- Schedule, coordinate, and monitor project activities with different stakeholders.
- Research and analyze data from various sources to advise clients.
- Interact daily with the project team and other departments.
- Prepare and supervise the preparation of reports.
- Handle technical queries/information requests from other departments.
- Prepare for and attend meetings, and prepare meeting minutes and action lists.
- Communicate effectively with project manager(s) and other project stakeholders.
- Control & keep records of important documents and references.
- Perform overall quality control of own as well as others’ work.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. degree in Engineering. M.Sc. is a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of experience, preferably in an engineering or consulting environment.
- Experience with renewable energy projects is a huge plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English. German and/or French are a plus.
- Knowledge of project management, scheduling, and risk management.
- Advanced report writing skills.
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly MS Excel.
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
