Our Energy Consulting department provides consultancy services to private developers, international financiers, and governments, helping them to assess feasibility and support development of their projects as well as country-wide electricity strategies and plans.
About the Position
The Project Engineer will join the Consultancy department and will be responsible for supporting and managing ongoing projects as well as preparing proposals for potential projects. The role requires strong coordination across teams, clear communication with clients, and a sense of responsibility to ensure the quality of work deliverables.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
Projects Responsibilities
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned projects.
- Follow up on project activities and ensure timely progress.
- Interact daily with clients and project teams.
- Prepare and supervise the preparation of department reports.
- Handle technical queries and internal information requests among departments.
- Attend meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and track action items.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project managers and team members to provide support as needed.
- Coordinate between the project team and other company departments.
- Control and maintain proper document records.
- Perform quality control on all work outputs.
Proposals Responsibilities
- Review client documents to identify needs and define scope of work.
- Coordinate between the Consultancy and Proposals Departments for bid preparation.
- Regularly monitor tendering channels for new opportunities.
- Collect and analyse information required for responsive proposals.
- Assist in preparing technical and financial proposals in line with RfP requirements.
- Gather and prepare supporting documents (references, CVs, pricing, technical descriptions) and align them with proposal guidelines.
- Support the development of tools, templates, and processes to improve proposal efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline)
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in project execution and/or proposal development, preferably in a consulting or service environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written), French or German is a plus
- Proven experience in document control, planning and scheduling.
- Advanced reporting and MS Office skills.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail.
